Yay, I've been awarded the Love-Your-Blog Award by two people this week! Thank you both, Erika and Leaonna for thinking I'm in any way fun to have around in our big scrapping community. Since I've been asked to nominate different amounts of people, I'll just list the people I'm glad to have around. Here goes: Erika: She is my daily partner in crime, chatting every day back and forth on Skype, sending each other our LOs and links... It's fun to have a close friend with the same hobby. Lu: My only link here in the US to my high school back in Slovakia. She used to sit right ahead of me and be pretty goofy. Now she lives far far away and is still goofy... Utski: My friend from the store Ahhh Scrap! She's very nice to talk to and always so helpful and supportive. Bambrlka: My scrappin' friend from Czech, who chats with me about all the scrappin' gossip back home.
First of all I want to apologize for slacking a little here at my blog. I tried to cut back on my computer time this last week as I wanted to spend some more time with my family and enjoy the last days of summer. My DD starts her preschool in a few days and is super excited about it. We talk about it every day and today she even got a card from her teachers inviting her for the open-day visit next week. Yesterday she wanted to go to bed with her backpack on... And another exciting event before the school starts will be our visit to a friend's farm with horses. He promised her she'll get a ride on a horse next time she visits and we happen to go this coming Saturday. So that's another lil' thing she's excited about. Well, me too, as I should be able to take some cute photos out there... I also have a good news myself. I just got accepted to another store as a designer team member and am so excited to work there. The store name is J3 Designs and I'll have the links to the store up as soon as I get my act together. Yay! for me.
Anyway, I found some time in the evenings to create a new kit. This time it's a Baby Girl Kit. I know, the name is pretty simple, but I thought it speaks to the point and since I also have a BabyBoy Kit...lol Here is the freebie I'm going to share with you this week. It's a mini add-on to the kit:
OMG, I just realized that it's been a week since I posted the last time. I have no idea what I did with all that time! I guess this is getting a little out of hand, lol.
It seems like the summer is nearing the end and that doesn't make me happy one bit. The pool is getting too cool to swim in and the leaves look like they're ready to start falling into my garden. :-( Meanwhile I am still having the best of the summer in my little world. Plenty of photos from the hot days will keep me there for a while. I have finished working on my Pocketful Of Posies kit sometime over the weekend and have been playing with it ever since. (I want to say thanks for all the name suggestions from you, they sure helped.) I decided to share a Add-on Mini-Kit with you, so you can scrap some fun Summer moment with it too.
I hope all of you are enjoying the hot summer days. I can't believe that the summer is almost over. But although we didn't do much this summer, we had a lot of fun with our DD. I have a ton of photos ready to be scrapbooked.... once I stop this mad designing rampage, lol. She's at that cute age when you have to laugh at most of the things that come out of her mouth. The other day she was staying at great G&G's and Grandpa was playing the harmonica for her. When asked to chose a song, she replied, without skipping a beat: Play Christmas Tree Dot Com. I have some photos of her playing the harmonica herself and am working on an LO with those.
Anyway, here is the freebie for the store Busyscrappin. (No registration necessary, it's a direct download, just go to the section freebies. ) It's a quick page made with my upcoming kit called Pocketful Of Posies.
The kit should be released this weekend at both of my stores,
I have been playing with the new kit, which now has a name. (I might change it later, but it has a name for now, lol.) It's The Pocketful Of Posies. All these flowers and colors are getting out of hand right now, but it's really fun to play with. Meanwhile, we've had a lazy day today, we visited Grandma and Grandpa for a bit and stayed at home for the rest of the day. Our DD is so funny to watch these days. She started to practice her ballet skills. We have this book about a ballerina and she opens the pages one by one and strikes the poses as well as she can. We try to sneak a peak at her from the hallway and it's really hilarious to watch. She thinks she's really good and so I'm hoping that I'll be able to ask her to pose for the camera, so I get a good photo to scrap. Anyway, I am trying to start leaving the office before 2 am and so I'll go now and try to get some rest. I'll be back with some more pictures of the new kit and a freebie.
I have uploaded 5 new quick page albums into the stores and this is a page matching one of the albums I've uploaded today, called Baby boy. You can find it at both of my stores Ahhh Scrap! and Busyscrappin.
