Hello girls.

I wanted to say a big thank you to all of you who stopped by and wished me all the best in the future.

I appreciate your comments very much.

My store at ACOT is finally closing down today and I hope I gave you enough notice to grab all the products you needed.

If you ever find yourself in a need of any of my products, please contact me and we can figure out some way to get them to you.

I am looking forward to sharing some of my scrapbooking creations with you soon. I have been taking a break from the computer for a few weeks, but I have started scrapping my DD's yearbook and will be posting some of my favorite LOs.

RETIREMENT SALE AND A GOODBYE TREAT

Hello girls.

I guess I have some news to share with you today.

After much thought I have decided to retire from the active designing for the stores.

I have been weighing my options for some time now and this seems like the best decision for me.

I am very excited about many projects going on in my life right now and designing for 20+ hours a week in the evening was just taking way too much of my energy. I don't think I will stop designing entirely, but not participating in any store will give me the freedom to do it at my own pace.

I am excited to do much more scrapbooking and photography. I'd like to share these projects with you here on my blog or at the forums where most of you know me from.

I am also planning on guesting at some new stores for a limited time once in a while, but it will be after some much needed break.

As I was setting my retirement sale I have also learned just hours ago that Inspiration Lane store will be closing on a very short notice, due to the arrangement with their host. I hate giving you such a short notice for getting to my discounted products at this store, but this really was the best I could do. Luckily, my store at ACOT will be open till the end of Feb, so that should give you more time.

And finally just to say thank you for sticking with my on this journey, here is a little freebie for you. Hopefully I will be able to surprise you with some more in the future.

New Year wishes and a new kit.

Hello girls.

First off, I wish you a wonderful New Year 2011, filled with love, happiness and success in everything you do.

My family and I had a wonderful Christmas. My daughter especially enjoyed the magical atmosphere of the anticipation. Her brother mostly loved the lights, decorations and all the wrappings to play with. :)

It was nice to spend some quality time with the whole family. I feel very rejuvenated and excited for the new projects up ahead.

New Release and a FREEBIE sampler

Hello ladies!

I hope you're all doing fine.

First off, thank you all for the messages and emails. They mean a lot to me. It's so nice of you to take your time to write to me when you like my designs. I am very happy for your words of support.

Hopefully you are all starting to feel festive with the Christmas approaching fast. We are still waiting with the Christmas tree decorating, since I am already dreading all the "accidents" my son will have with the decorations. :) But maybe tomorrow or sometimes this week it'll happen.

My DD and I did however make our advent calendar last week. I used to make one just like this with my sister back when we were in grade school. I was happy to share this tradition with my daughter now. And all I got to show you is this super goofy photo of her with the calendar on the wall. Seriously... 6 year olds....

Which brings me to the newest kit that I want to share with you today. It was inspired by this little goofball of mine. She has recently lost her top front tooth (already number 3, make no mistake) and I thought that it would be a great idea to have a kit specifically for the little events that fill her life right about now. And so I made it. Here it is:

Hey girls!

The hunting/shopping season is upon us here in WI. :) I hate to say I have yet to start my shopping. But I am making my list and checking it twice.. :)

I have our Christmas pictures scheduled for tomorrow (well later on today really) and both kids are feeling under the weather. My son even has a pink eye for the last 2 days. He is up again, not able to breathe through his nose and waking up constantly. Oh well, we keep each other company as I type with my free hand....

So, here is the latest scoop:
I have prepared several sets of Christmas cards for you. There are various sizes in each pack for different printing options. I think I will be using Winkflash this year as they print 5x7" photos for .25 plus a very modest shipping charge.

My baby is now one year old.
I feel a little sad about it because he's now officially done being an infant. :-( With all the sleepless nights and spit up on my clothes, that's still such a precious time to me. I have to say I feel like it's been a great year, full of good changes. I love the relationship my children have. I like the energy among my family. I am very happy. I think I am going to remember this year as one of the happiest years of my life.
I have been working on some photos of the kids from the last few months, since I am sick and tired of listening to myself say that I'll be sending out the pics and then just not finding the time to do it. So I finally made myself sit down and at least make a dent in the sorting and retouching.
I have to say that I love retouching my photos, I think I should make my living doing that. :-)

Vinnie Pearce Album, CT LOs and some photos.

Oh my, has it been almost 2 weeks already since my last post?
In my defense, I was busy between preparing for my DD's birthday parties and trying to put in some hours at work.

Anyway, here's what's going on:

This last Saturday we hosted a couple of parties for my DD's 6th birthday. One for her friends in the morning and one later on for the family. Both went smoothly and we all had a great time. Even the baby's naps were a smooth sailing. DD got a whole bunch of presents that she really liked, the wardrobe for all her dolls' clothes being her favorite one. My DD told me that she got so many presents because when she was blowing off the candles on her cakes, she always wished that all the presents are for her. Well, now I know why there were none for me... :-)

Here is the wardrobe my DD got. Her brother was fast to help her sorting the shoes.

It's an album made with the photos of my kids created by Vinnie Pearce, using her brand new kit The Apple of my Eye. Everything Nice - New Kit and a freebie

Hello girls.

Soo, the school year has started and I now have a brand new kindergartner at home.

Luckily for us, everything went smooth and my DD loves the school, her new teacher and her friends in the class. She was very excited about being able to ride the school bus and we had no issues there either. A couple of girls from the high school who take the same bus offered to walk with her to the bus stop and today she finally decided to take them up on the offer. Easy-peasy!

Meanwhile, the house is very quiet. I am definitely not used to that. The baby is not used to that. :-) He suddenly started taking 2 hour-naps in the morning, something that didn't happen often before. I am able to do most of my work during that quiet time. Love it!

I have tons of photos that I need to sort from the last 2 months and I hope I'll be able to share some of them with you soon. Here is a couple , one of my kidos and one of my DS, getting ready to take off. :-) He is getting there and it looks like he'll be wakling in just a few weeks.

I am also here to show you what I have created in the last few days. I know, I know, yet another girly kit...sigh.... but that's just me. :-)

Give-Away, New Set of Templates and a Sneak-Peek

Hello girls.

I am so glad to be back. I truly missed designing. Though I also enjoyed the few days off the computer. :-)

We had an awesome time with my sister and her husband here. I woke up every morning to the smell of coffee, pancakes, bacon, fried eggs...or all the above. I told my BIL the joke about the man having to brew the morning coffee, since the bible says HEBREWS and so he did. :-)
In the evening we played games, mostly cribbage and this game popular in Slovakia called "Relax man!" (loosely translated). Let's just say my hubby had a hard time following the spirit of the game sometimes, he got so wound up and mad when he was not doing too great. It was a blast. We played most nights, it was pretty addictive. :-)
We also did a little traveling, though with the kids it was hard to spend too much time in the car. But we managed to go to the Superior and Michigan lakes and stop a few places on the way.
I truly had such a great time with my sister, I am missing her terribly. Oh well, time to get back to work and play. :-)

Just to let you know that I haven't fallen off of the face of the Earth, I am quickly stopping by. My family is still in town (till Mon) and I am really busy with them, loving every minute of it. I am going to miss having my sister around so much... :-(

I am missing designing though and I am excited for the school year to start so we can get some kind of routine going and maybe then I can get back to playing wit my beloved PS.

I have been very busy with my sister and her hubby visiting. We really are having a blast. Tomorrow we are leaving for a trip to the lake Superior and we'll be gone till Wed.

We baptized my DS.

As I promised I am going to share a photo from my son's baptism ceremony we had last Sun. My sister and her husband finally came last Thu to stay with us and we baptized Cameron at our local church. It was a nice little ceremony for our family only after the mass. Cameron did so well. Luckily he had a nap during the mass and was all fresh and happy for the ceremony.

Also, after the mass my sister and her husband were welcomed to our community and many of our church members came to talk to them. Everyone tried to brush up on their Czech. :-) It was cute.

After church we had some family over for a party at our house and we BBQd, played games and just had fun.
It is so nice to have my sister around. We did go shopping already and visited a few of my favorite places around here, but we are also happy to just chill out at home, play with the kids, drink coffee and talk. My BIL likes to go fishing with my hubby too.

Oh, today I took both of them for a coffee at a local coffee shop. As it's common here to be served the coffee in paper cups, I asked the person serving us if he could make my BIL's shot of espresso in a regular small espresso porcelain cup and my sis also wanted her cappuccino in a porcelain cup. I said I'd take mine in a paper cup, so I could take it with me if I don't finish it at the shop. The person serving us must have understood that I've changed my mind and ordered all of them in paper cups. It wasn't really a big deal, only my BIL's espresso came in this huge paper cup and the whole drink was like a half inch of strong coffee on the bottom. I teased him that they must have cleaned the coffee machine into his cup by mistake.... note to self: Make absolutely sure the person serving understands me when I ask for an espresso shot in a porcelain cup the next time we go, or I might end up going by myself for the rest of their stay....

Before I sign off today I want to let you know that I will be MIA for the next few weeks. My sister and her hubby are finally on their way and will be here in just a few hours. I am trying to do all the little things that I want done before they get here. It's hard to try and give your house a good cleaning and also pick up extra hours at work so you will have less to do once your family is here. Let's just say it's not working out for me too well...and what's up with sitting on the computer, updating my blog, right?

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that for the next 4 weeks I will be busy entertaining my family and hopefully taking some time off myself, but I should be back to normal by the end of August and I am really hoping that from Sep I will actually be able to spend more time designing....only the time will tell. In the mean time do enjoy the sales I have set at the stores IL and the closing sale at AS (50% till the end of July). I might set up some more sales later on, depending on the time I'll have to play online.

Hello girls.
Hopefully you all had a wonderful 4th July. My family and I didn't do anything special since all but my DD are sick. But we still took the kids to the fireworks and they both loved it. With the first explosion the baby totally freaked out but eventually he decided it was OK to lay on my shoulder and peek at the colorful lights. :-)

As I promised I am back with the newest kit, which is actually a collaboration with Ryan of Roseytoes designs.

It's called Fresh Blooms and it's exclusive at the Inspiration Lane: Get it at IL here.

I really enjoyed playing with this kit. I love the cheerful colors and I found it easy to make each LO with just a handful of elements and patterns. I am very happy with the outcome. :-)

I also started packaging the CU metal trinkets, this time with a brass finish. I used some in this last kit and I really liked the look of gold finish over the silver, matching the summery themed color combo. Here are the ones that are already in the stores. Hello Girls.

Just a quick check-in.
We have been very busy in the last few days. My DD already attended a 5 days of Summer Bible School. She had a blast. She is already asking me when will the next SBS take place. :-) I attended as a photographer for the event, also creating a presentation for the final program. I have some super cute photos of the kids...it's a shame I don't have the right to release any here on-line. :-(

I am keeping busy creating all my required parts for the mega kits at all my stores for the next 2 months. My sister is coming in 6 weeks and I know I won't have much time on the computer during her visit. So I am trying to get everything done on time.

I have also been working on a new collaboration kit with my fellow designer at the Inspiration Lane, Ryan of the Roseytoes Designs. It's a cheerful summery design and I hope you'll like it. I am hoping to have it released sometimes in the next few days, maybe by the end of this week. It depends on how fast we can have everything packaged.

Here I am with my newest kit. I am really excited about this one because I have drawn most of the elements from scratch and I like the doodled look. The theme is gardening and outdoors, but it can be used with a variety of themes. Judge for yourself:

Hey girls.

Just a quick note today.
Browsing the blogs I follow I found this story about little Sam:
When Sam was just 4 months old he underwent surgery and 3 days later was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma; giving him only a 30% cure rate. You can read more of his story here.
It really breaks my heart to hear about a little boy, almost the same age as my baby son having to endure this kind of sickness. Needless to say, his family is having a hard time not only with the hectic schedule of his treatment, but with the mom having to stop working, financially too.

A wonderful fundraiser has been set up to help this family and if you'd like to help, please visit the same site for more info. Sam's mum Cassie is also kindly asking everyone for prayers to help them through the hard times.

Hello girls.

The summer is definitely in the air here in WI. We are having a super hot weather for the last few days. My DD is very excited because finally she can play by the sprinkler. :-)
I have been busy at work, having to pick up more hours and also trying to prepare for the visit of my sister and her hubby in the summer. They are coming for almost a month and I can't wait! There's a lot to do before they come, but it will be all worth it. We asked them to be the godparents of our baby boy, so there will be a christening party and while my sis is here, it will be her birthday and I have a perfect gift picked out for her. I don't even remember when was the last time I got to celebrate her birthday with her. Must be over 10 years for sure. :-(

I have been busy designing any free minute I have because I don't know how much time I will have in the summer. I will keep you posted.

I know, I know, MIA for 2 weeks again. :) This time my excuse are my sick kids. The baby is down with an ear infection and my DD is getting over a nasty cough. But I am hoping we are out of the worst.
I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter. We spent ours with my in-laws and the kids had a great time. I have many wonderful photos of them to scrap and I am hoping to be using them soon with my new kit ready for release the next week. But before that I want to show you my new baby kit I've created a few days ago. It's called LITTLE WONDER and I've created it clean and crisp for those of you who prefer it in the baby LOs. Hello girls.

Thanks to all of you who left me Birthday wishes here and on Facebook. Thanks so much for taking your time to wish me well. :-)
The past week has been busy for me, since we had a lot going on with our friends and family.
My DD also started a new ballet class. She has been nagging us for the past year to sign her up. She either wants to be a ballet dancer or a figure skater, so while we are waiting for her to decide, we do both, lol. Her back-up plan is a scientist, in case all the twirling doesn't go well...
My DS is growing so fast, he is now 5 months old and absolutely adorable. I have scrapped this LO with his photos from the last week for the Pretty Scrappy Speed Scrap this weekend:(I used my kit Little Boy's Dream and

the papers from my kit soon to be released named Oh Baby.)

And here is a little about my newest releases:
I have a new collection of Chrome CU elements out and I will be adding to it in a few days. I just can't stop making metal elements, lol. I love the look of metal in the home interior and also on the scrapbooking pages. So I am super excited to use them for my own pages. Oh, it's good to be back on my computer!
I have had yet more computer troubles last week and it took 4 days to have it fixed since my husband could only work on it in the evenings and over the weekend. It certainly felt different, lol.

Finally I am getting a free second to blog about my news. My precious baby boy has not been feeling very well, so we spend a lot of time holding him and trying to keep him comfortable. My DD is a great helper. It feels like she's grown a lot in these last few months. They are so adorable together, I really feels so blessed!
Meanwhile, here in the digi world, I have not had as much time as I'd like, but I guess that's the price I have to pay for a little while. Last week I've released a little new kit. It's Valentine themed, but I've decided to keep it a little more neutral and to use an nontraditional color combo. The kit is full of metal trinkets, lace and pebbles. I hope you'll like it. Hello girlies!
First off, I want to wish you all a wonderful year 2010 full of love, fun and dreams come true.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and loved ones. It was a busy season for me although we didn't do much. But between caring for the new baby, work, doing my Christmas shopping and trying to decorate the house for the holiday...on top of just plain trying to keep it somewhat tidy, I didn't get too much time for myself and for my designing.
My daughter was very excited about the presents this year, which was new to us, because up till the last Christmas she was only interested in one toy of her choice and was happy to just get that. Some years we couldn't even get her to open her presents after she opened the toy she wanted. This time she had a whole list of what she 'needed'. Her brother mostly just stared at the lights and 'talked' to them.
We had planned on hosting the Christmas Eve dinner, but due to the snow storm only a half of the family could make it, so we had to have another party with all of the family a few days later. I love the parties with my in-laws (I know, what a weirdo), so I was only happy to have one more party to go to, more so that this one wasn't at my house, lol.

Now after the new year the life has quietened down a little. There's a little more to do at work, but since I work very part time, it's not a biggie. The baby was sick for the last couple of days and I actually had to camp out on the couch with him, trying to keep him propped out, since he had a very runny nose. He seems to be on mends today and I am really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.

But first things first.
Since I have been busy with the baby this week, I am late on updating you on my latest releases and news.

Hello girls.
I know, I know, long time no see.....
I have been so busy with the baby, work, appointments and all the little stuff that always needs to be done, though nobody really sees it (unless it's left undone) that I barely had time to get on the computer and design. My DH upgraded my computer and now I have a huge monitor, just perfect for playing with PS, but no time to try it out....

My baby boy turned 6 weeks this last Monday. I can not believe it. Where did the time go?!
He is so sweet and he grows so very fast. He is getting stronger every day. He still keeps me up every night till almost 2am, but I can always hope that eventually we'll get the right schedule down. I am really happy I signed my DD down for the afternoon sessions at the preschool though...lol.

Hello girls.

I am finally back after taking a short break to have my baby son.
He was finally born on Oct 5th. The delivery was perfect, couldn't wish for a better one.
My husband got to name the baby, since I chose the name for our daughter. He named him Cameron. I have to say that it was not my first choice, but it grew on me and I think it suits the baby well.
He is such a good boy. I hope he stays that way, lol. It took a couple of sleepless nights to figure out how he likes things done, but he's quite a happy trooper now. I know I should not take this for granted though, since our DD started off as an easy going little bundle of joy and it didn't stay that way for long. :-)
My DD is so happy with her new baby brother and I am so glad to see that she's not jealous of all the attention her brother is getting. She is very loving, caring and tries to do her best helping out. It's so precious watching them together...

Sunny Autumn Freebie

Hello girls.

I am counting days till the delivery of our baby. We've had an ultrasound this last Monday and found out that though the doctor was positive that we were to have a girl, we're actually having a boy! Exciting as it is, we were totally shocked. Our DD left the doctor's office bawling, but now is getting used to the idea. She already chose the name for her brother. He's going to be called Gus, the same as her friend at preschool. :-)

Hello Girls!
I hope you are all having a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We've been having some warm days lately and are trying to enjoy them outside. Today we had a dinner at my in-laws with a cozy bonfire until late at night. DD had so much fun chatting G&G's ear off with all her stories about My Little Ponies and showing off her ballerina moves...
Tomorrow (or rather later on today, since it's after midnight) is my 7th wedding anniversary, so DD gets to spend another afternoon at G&G's and my DH and I will head out to a Red Lobster for endless shrimp. Can't wait!

Hello everyone!

As I promised, September is going to be pretty busy at all of my stores.
Today I am here to announce a brand new category opening at Ahhh Scrap! store.

We are introducing a category called
MIX 'N MATCH
and it's basically a category created with the same color combo while the designers are free to contribute in any way they like. They can create as many or few products as they like and you are able to take a pick at whichever products you want. It's like creating your personalized collaboration kit.
These mini kits will be introduced each month at $1 each for the first week and $2 for the following week. After that they will be priced at their regular price.

Hello girls!

Oh my, where did the month of August go?! One more week and the school is starting!
Anyway, at least I only have a few days to go till my delivery. There's still so much to do...

First of all I'd like to announce that I have started selling my designs at another wonderful store. The designers there are really fabulous, so working there with them is an honor. 'Smarty Pants' Collab and Sales at the stores!

Hello girls.
Finally back with a bunch of announcements...

First off, as you probably know by now, I am pregnant......very, very pregnant, lol. Finally I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I think I have some 7, 8 weeks to go... But I am getting soo tired. :-( I hope I'll be able to make a couple of little things for you before I'll have to take some time off.
For now, I have a new release and a couple of sales to advertise:
This is the kit I have promised you last week, right before my computer decided to take a weekend off, lol. Luckily I am back and running and so I was able to put the kit in the stores. It's a collaboration with a couple of my good friends, Erika of Inkin' Creations and Vicki of Digilover's Addiction.
It's called Smarty Pants
and the theme, of course, is school. We all have kids who are super excited about going back to school (which translates as young enough that they don't complain about it, lol..)
I hope you'll like the designs we came up with. We also created an album of 9 BB pages for those of you who like their LOs done in minutes.

Hey girls.

Today I only have a small post to make to let you know that my computer has suddenly died on me and so right now I am unable to load any of the products I have promised you this weekend.
I am really sorry about that. Right now I am working off of my husband's work computer, waiting till he fixes mine.... Hopefully it won't take longer than this weekend.
So, since I don't have any access to my stores or Photoshop, all I can do is wait. :-)
Once I get the products to the stores, I will extend the sales I have planned for this week, so you'll still be able to get them on the sale prices. I am really sorry for this.

Hello Girls.
As I promised, I am back with a few photos from our trip to the Lake Superior and some new products to show you.
So here goes:
These photos are taken on the beach in the Saxon Harbor. The first 3 were taken the first evening and the last one is the sunrise above the water the next morning.
We could not get the DD out of water at all. She'd only agree to come out once her skin was turning blue. :-)

We are back from the camping trip.

Hello girls.

We are back from our camping trip to the lake Superior.
Everything went smooth and we ended up having a fabulous time. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed watching our DD play at the beach. I still can't believe that the water there is so clean. You can walk forever and still see the perfect sandy bottom.
The water ended up being quite warm (for the Superior anyway, lol) and we spent most of the time on the beach. We camped right on the beach the first night and just off the beach the night after. I really liked sleeping on the sand much more than the hard soil.
I should have some photos ready for you by Thu night when I am releasing my newest kit
"Little Boy's Dream".

Hello girls.

Today I only have a quick post.
I have been busy working this week, but I also managed to finish a brand new kit. I am very excited about this one, since it's a "boy" kit, something I don't usually design. :-)

My husband and I are planning a road trip/camping on the lake Superior this coming weekend, so I won't be here to release the kit till the next week, but I have made a LO to show you what it looks like:

Also, my fellow Ahhh Scrap! Designer Tricia of Tricia Curtis Designs has a brand new Damask Chipboard Capitals Alpha Template. A completely versatile layered alpha template with a bonus pattern already included! This chipboard alpha set includes big and little capitals (Uppercase and Lowercase), all numbers, punctuation, and European letters and characters.

Each character is saved as a separate layered .psd file with three layers - the chipboard layer, the clipping mask layer and the damask patterned layer. Use any or all of the layers; the chipboard layer already has a color overlay style built in to easily change the base color to black or another color for a striking edge.

Dollar Day at Ahhh Scrap!

Hello girls.

Hopefully you are enjoying your summer.
I have been super busy with the work and with the house projects my DH and I have planned before the baby is born. I am thinking that we don't have much more than 10 weeks to go.
So far I've gained about 20Lb, but it sure feels like much more. Maybe it's the hot weather or just all the running around, but I am always feeling exhausted. :-( Anyway, it's all for the good cause, right?

I have worked a little this week on a new boy kit. I am about half way done with it and maybe by the end of the week I'll be able to share it with you. Also, two of my fellow designers / friends and I have just finished a brand new collaboration kit, ready for release on Aug 1st. I wish I could show you some previews, but I guess I have to wait till everything is ready. The theme of the collab is "back to school".

I have also played with my last kit a little and I've made this LO of my DD. The photo is taken recently. She is growing so fast. I can't believe she'll be 5 in just a few weeks.

I also want to remind you that AS is having a dollar day tomorrow (Tue) again and some of my QP albums will be on sale. Check it out if you are planning on buying any.
